Family Medicine Residency Program Core Faculty Position

Virtua Family Medicine Residency Program is seeking a full-time core faculty member to add to our team. The program is fully accredited and has 12 residents in each post-graduate year.  We recently merged with the Rowan Family Medicine Residency and are one of the “Original 15” Family Medicine Residencies approved in the US to begin a Family Medicine training program. The program is dedicated to providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages.  The residency program is sponsored by Virtua Health, a multi-hospital healthcare organization that serves Southern New Jersey.

All faculty members participate in resident education in all settings including the office, hospital (including newborn nursery), and nursing home. Candidates should have excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills. Strong computer skills and proficiency with electronic documentation is a requirement. Candidates should be comfortable with change, be a team player, and be passionate about teaching and working with residents. Faculty will also have their own panel of patients for whom they will provide care at the Virtua-Tatem Brown Family Practice Center. Our practice focuses on a multidisciplinary approach to the care of our community, with 40% of our practice population underserved and 40% pediatric. Our system uses EPIC EMR, and our practice is active in measuring advanced quality metrics and patient satisfaction. We are part of Virtua Medical Group, a large network of medical and surgical physicians exclusively affiliated with Virtua that are located throughout the region, from primary care to complex medical and surgical specialties. Qualifications:

• MD/DO Degree
• Board Certified in Family Medicine
• Proficiency in the following are required:
  • Women’s Health procedures (LARC implantation, endometrial biopsy, colposcopy)
  • Inpatient adult medicine
  • Newborn nursery
  • Ambulatory Pediatrics
