Pharmacy Technician - Sterile Compounding Compliance Technician
Job ID: R1058395 Type: Full Time Location: Voorhees Township, New Jersey Standard Hours: 40 Shift: 1st ShiftFull time Pharmacy Technician. Monday through Friday primarily day shift with rotation to evening/overnights and weekends on occasion as needed to help train colleagues. Will be the designated IV room trainer and tester so must have flexibility with working in multiple locations as needed.
Job Summary
At the direction of the Quality Pharmacist, assists Divisional Pharmacists-in-Charge in completion and documentation of aseptic technique didactic and practical training for all new employees and recertification of existing employees. Completes monthly environmental monitoring of sterile compounding locations. Audits and provides feedback to compounding personnel on aseptic technique for continuous performance improvement.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinates recertification aseptic technique didactic training and completes practical media fill competency for all eligible Pharmacy staff (pharmacists, technicians, managers) every 6 months for all Virtua Divisions.
- Completes viable air and surface sampling of all sterile compounding locations every month for all Virtua Divisions.
- Performs and documents real-time audit and feedback of aseptic technique for pharmacists and technicians.
Position Qualifications Required
Required Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in sterile compounding, aseptic technique, USP797 compliance.
Required Education:
HS graduate or GED required.
Training / Certification / Licensure:
Required – Eligible for or Active NJ Pharmacy Technician registration.
Preferred - CPhT – Certified Pharmacy Technician
Preferred – CSPT – Certified Compouded Sterile Preparation Technician
Hourly Rate: $21.21 - $31.81 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant’s experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
