VMG Facilities Project Manager

Job Summary:

Responsible for planning, facilitating and managing large and medium scale VMG facility projects according to approved project plan, timeline and budget; resource planning and management; coordination of project team, support departments, and third-party vendors to deliver projects according to plan.  Define project scope and objective and oversee quality control throughout the project life cycle.  Assess process progress, risk mitigation, issue resolution, and scope change to limit project impact or delays.  Lead coordination process, management and documentation throughout all phases of the project.  Work collaboratively with all levels of the organization and communicate project status updates.

Position Responsibilities:

Develop the project schedule, plan and structure which identify and sequence the activities needed to successfully complete and integrate the project scope. Monitor and document the progress and timeline to ensure a successful project cycle.

Coordinate, lead, and document all aspects of VMG projects including project integration, scope, time, budget, quality, operational scope, project team, communication, risk, procurement, and vendor management including but not limited to:

- Acquisitions

- Moves

- Adds/ Changes

- Decommissions

- Project development planning and estimates

- Maintain data reports for utilization and operational facility need

- Identify and drive process efficiencies and improvement strategies.

Develop and maintain comprehensive equipment, furniture, finishes, signage, inventory list and budget based on identified operational needs. Coordinate procurement process with leadership, AP, Finance, and Capital Contract Manager.

Proactively identify, resolve and/or escalate issues that could impact project schedule. Work collaboratively with Project Team and Leadership to remediate technical, operational or resource issues to maintain project schedule and budget. Assist vendors in understanding key stakeholder requests, operational and clinical requirements, project scope and timeline.

Schedule and conduct project team/support department meetings. Summarize and communicate project status, risks, key issues, next steps and related coordination activities.

Coordinate and support completion of VMG facility work order requests.

Manage project budget including invoice/purchase order processing, payments, and change orders.  Confirm operating budget and variances.

Position Qualifications Required:

Required Experience:

3-5 years managing teams and/or facilities related projects, or equivalent Health Care practice level operational management of projects, budgets, coordination, and metric driven outcome experience. Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel and Visio, Microsoft Project, and other hospital systems.  Excellent analytical, written/verbal communication and organizational skills required. Ability to work at a detailed level as well as on a more global level. Experience with project management and ability to document process requirements. Must have a positive, flexible attitude, work well autonomously and with a team, independently manage multiple large projects simultaneously and support stake holders and project teams.

Required Education:

Bachelor's degree in, Business Administration, Clinical area or related degree.

Training / Certification / Licensure:

Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification a plus.

Annual Salary: $77,405 - $123,574 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant’s experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
