Technical Financial Coordinator
Job ID: R1050618 Type: Full Time Location: Marlton, New Jersey Standard Hours: 40 Shift: 1st ShiftResponsible for providing technical support regarding accounting pronouncements and tax information related to annual financial statements, supporting analysis and supplemental schedules. Also responsible for all grant reporting requirements. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles on all financial statements. Supports the Finance Management Team in performing special projects. Performs as a Finance representative on committees and at meetings as necessary.
Position Responsibilities:
Provide technical support and perform research to ensure Hospital and or related entity of Virtua Health Financial Statements are GAAP compliant. Including Cash Flow Analysis, which are reviewed by Senior Management and Virtua Health Board of Trustees.
Responsible for reviewing / performing analysis of financial data. I.E. bank reconciliations, grant analysis, grant reporting, lease analysis and present value calculations, and provide support to Operational Leadership.
Review and recommend policy and procedures updates for the finance department.
Responsible for providing tax support related to financial data reported to Regulatory Agencies including Federal and State. I.E. IRS 990 tax exempt return, NJ Charitable Registration.
Responsible for ensuring audit compliance through review of work papers and analysis for internal and external auditors. Review and preparation of the Uniformed Guidance Audit. Coordination of the audit workpapers that are provided to the outside auditors.
Responsible for mentoring and coaching finance staff. Collaborates with staff to create best practice standards for financial analysis and documentation.
Position Qualifications Required:
Required Experience:
Must have a minimum of 3-4 years audit experience with a public accounting firm. Excellent communication skills and ability to coach and mentor staff. Experience with grant reporting preferred. Ability to work independently to achieve goals, innovate procedures, and prioritize work assignments. Excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving, and communication skills. Must have a working knowledge of all MS Office software applications.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA Certified/CPA Eligible required. MBA preferred.
