Job Summary:

Acts as a leader and resource to the Centralized Scheduling Department in conjunction with the Manager/Supervisor.  Mentors and coaches staff members.  Acts as a first contact representative of Virtua, upholding a professional and positive image when service recovery is needed. Continues to complete daily OA tasks as part of the onsite team.

Position Responsibilities:

Completes daily Office Assistant tasks as part of the onsite team.

Coordinates and assists with training/mentoring of staff on the office assistant duties, providing one-on-one education as needed.  Stays up to date on all front desk functions and acts as a resource to staff.  Maintains knowledge and expertise of insurance requirements and cascades information ensuring staff are proficient and with up-to-date information.

Daily quality assurance monitoring of staff effectiveness.  Oversee and assist with data input for monitoring daily patient volumes, copay collection rates, and other departmental metrics.

Assists with employee time management, preparation of departmental schedules, and overall departmental coverage.  Monitors schedules in advance to ensure staffing levels are appropriate.  Assists in the coordination of weather emergencies.

Position Qualifications Required:

Required Experience:

1-3 years’ Medical Office experience. Strong computer software skills.  Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Required Education:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Hourly Rate: $18.16 - $26.95 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant’s experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
